Ross Ferguson is a New Zealand–based artist working primarily in acrylics. His practice spans two distinct but complementary bodies of work: original paintings that explore form, colour and texture, and hand-painted reproductions of historic artworks created through close study of classical techniques.

Original Paintings
I currently work primarily in acrylics and use only high-quality materials for all of my pieces.
By building layers of colour and texture, I can transform an idea into something tangible and unique, created from my imagination, from reference images, or from real-life inspiration.
Hand-Painted Reproductions
I also create hand-painted recreations of historic artworks, studying the techniques and styles of masters such as Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Henri Matisse, Paul Cézanne, and others.
I recreate these works in acrylics using high-quality materials, with each piece clearly identified as a hand-painted recreation.
Skateboard Design
I create hand-painted skateboard artworks that combine bold imagery with the clean, sculptural form of the board itself. Inspired by my earlier work with Paper-Rain, where my painted decks sold quickly at exhibition, each piece is created as a one-off artwork designed for the wall. Visually striking and contemporary, skateboard art brings character and personality to both home and business spaces.
